HCV FSS

THA’s HCV Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program provides coordination and access to job training and other services for participants of the Housing Choice Voucher Program who are making an effort to become self-sufficient.  Participants are required to seek and maintain employment or attend school or job training.  As participants increase their earned income, HUD matches the rent increase with money in an escrow account which is then awarded to participants who successfully complete the program.  As an example, escrow can be used for a down payment towards the purchase of a home.  For more details contact THA’s HCV FSS Coordinator, Mrs. Sylvia Belle, at (205) 758-6619 Ext. 142 or visit the HUD website.
